Hailing from the windy streets of Chicago, and a proud University of Notre Dame alumn, Pat came west where he received a Master's Degree in Cinematography from the American Film Institute. There, he partnered with Christine O'Malley, founding L.A.-based O’Malley Creadon Productions.

Creadon's first experiences in the industry came in front of the camera rather than behind it. Working as a child actor and model in the Chicago area, he appeared in several commercials; his biggest break came in "Rascals and Robbers", a made-for-TV movie about Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. Creadon played Sawyer, while Finn was portrayed by Anthony Michael Hall, who went on to become a megastar thanks to roles in "National Lampoon’s Vacation", "Sixteen Candles", "The Breakfast Club", and "Weird Science". Even on the set of "Rascals and Robbers", though, Creadon knew he didn’t want to go down that same path.

"I definitely was drawn to the work that the director and the cinematographer were doing", he remembers. "Because I realized that really those are the people making the movie. As a 15-year-old, that left a real impression on me. That’s when I realized that’s what I wanted to do. I wanted to be a director."

Though his career began as a camera operator at PBS, his aspirations were set much higher and his directorial debut, Wordplay (2006), was the breakout hit at the Sundance Film Festival that year. He’s gone on to direct numerous other feature documentary projects ("I.O.U.S.A.", "If You Build It", "All Work All Play", and most recently the critically acclaimed "Hesburgh". In between his feature film work Creadon has made TV commercials and short form content for brands like Unilever, Fisher Price, Fair Trade USA and ESPN as well as directed episodic television ("Law and Order: SVU"). Creadon has also sat on panels and juries for various film festivals around the country.
